The contract is for the provision of a Technology Enabled Care Service (TECS) across Herefordshire. The service supports vulnerable residents to live safely and independently in their own homes and helps prevent avoidable hospital admissions.
The service includes the supply, installation, maintenance and monitoring of technology-enabled care equipment, community equipment, daily living aids and minor adaptations, together with the collection, cleaning, refurbishment and recycling of equipment no longer required.
The contract is jointly commissioned by Herefordshire Council and NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and supports both organisations in meeting their statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 for the provision of community equipment and technology-enabled care services.
