Tendring District Council (TDC) is undertaking Preliminary Market Engagement with suitably qualified and experienced contractors in relation to the proposed delivery of the Jaywick Sands Public Open Spaces Regeneration Project.

Brooklands Road is currently an unadopted road and suppliers should take this into consideration when considering delivery approaches and associated stakeholder requirements.
The primary objectives of the project are to:
Deliver a comprehensive reconstruction and resurfacing of Brooklands Road.
Improve highway drainage and long-term resilience, including coordination with existing drainage infrastructure connected to the sea wall.
Enhance pedestrian safety through traffic calming measures and improved footway provision.
Improve accessibility and connectivity between residential areas, community facilities and the seafront.

Primary Scope - Brooklands Road
The principal contract requirement is anticipated to comprise:

Drainage improvement works, including integration with existing coastal drainage infrastructure.
