Description
RSSB is seeking to appoint a supplier to undertake research to develop neuroinclusive principles that support train driver performance. The project will examine how train driver training, development, competence management and related workplace activities can be designed and delivered in a more neuroinclusive way, while maintaining safety-critical competence requirements.
The research will consider current industry practice, barriers experienced by neurodivergent drivers, practical adjustments and inclusive design approaches, and how these can be implemented consistently across the rail industry. The scope includes passenger, freight and On-Track Machine drivers and focuses on non-driving activities such as training, briefings, feedback, competence assessments and related workplace environments.
