Description
Aberdeen City Council requires the provision of an integrated specialist support service for disabled children and young people aged from birth to 18 years who have complex and/or significant care and support needs requiring a level of specialist support beyond that ordinarily available through universal, community-based or mainstream care provision. This may include children and young people with complex health, physical, learning, developmental, sensory, communication and/or behavioural support needs, including needs associated with autism. Eligibility for, and the nature of, support will be determined by individual assessment of need, intended outcomes and the Service Provider's ability to meet those needs safely and appropriately. Short-break overnights and residential care will in the main be utilised for our older children (often teenagers.)
