260024 Waste Management Services Lot 1: Commercial Waste and Recycling Services Lot 2: Confidential Waste and Non-Confidential Paper Waste Lot 3: Chemical/Hazardous Waste Lot 4: Clinical Waste

The contract is for waste management services to various locations across the University campus.

The services to be delivered under this Contract shall be provided under four separate lots as follows:

• Lot 1: Commercial Waste and Recycling Services
• Lot 2: Confidential Waste and Non-Confidential Paper Waste
• Lot 3: Chemical/Hazardous Waste
• Lot 4: Clinical Waste

The key objectives of the Contract (Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3 and Lot 4) are as follows:

• Effectively manage waste according to the principles of the Waste Hierarchy, supporting and aligning with the development of a circular approach to resource management.
• Provide optimum, consistent service levels and ongoing value for money throughout the contract.
• Provision of external bins/skips (with Queen's specific signage, as required).
• Provision of regular management information, consolidated invoices and transfer notes.
• Ongoing prevention of waste, increase in recycling rates and working towards zero waste to landfill.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practice.
