The Council is considering procurement options for this waste stream to identify the most appropriate route to market for the delivery of this opportunity. The Council collects cardboard as a segregated waste stream in open 40cyd skips, at our HWRCs which collected almost 700 tonnes between April 2025 and March 2026. In the past the Council delivered the waste via Hooklift directly to the Contractors site, alternatively there is a possibility the tender may allow collection from our three HWRCs across Edinburgh under a future contract. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is an opportunity for potential tenderers to participate in finalising the Council’s procurement strategy. Interested parties are invited to register their interest via the notice as well as statement confirming if your interest is based on the Council being able deliver to your site or if your company would be arranging collection, to no later than 21st June 2026. | — |
