Active Travel Improvement Scheme (Phase 2)

This Scheme will cover Active Travel improvements on Shadsworth Road and Haslingden Road, Blackburn, and will encompass the following:

• Removal of kerbed centre islands,
• Alteration to existing zebra crossing
• associated electrical works,
• relocation of a kerbline and widening of the footway,
• footway reconstruction as necessary,
• Alterations to existing AD signage,
• Removal and provision of new footway markings,
• Footway surface course overlay using tarmac materials or slurry seal
• carriageway patching.
