The aim is to reduce adminisBerkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to procure an Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) solution to support clinical documentation across a range of services and care settings. The solution should enable clinicians to capture consultations and generate structured clinical outputs including but not limited to documentation, clinical record notes, summaries, and correspondence, while integrating seamlessly into existing clinical workflows and digital systems. The aim is to reduce administrative burden and support more meaningful patient interactions, improving the overall patient experience through more engaged consultations, higher quality documentation, reduced errors, improved continuity of care, and shorter turnaround times for clinic letters and updates. It should also enable clinicians to spend more time focusing on the patient, while maintaining high standards of clinical safety, transparency, and documentation quality. The solution must support use across a range of real-world clinical environments, including inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and community settings, where factors such as background noise, shared spaces, and variable connectivity may impact performance. The solution must also support consultations involving third parties (e.g. carers, family members, or interpreters), ensuring accurate capture, speaker differentiation, and appropriate inclusion within the output. The contract will be for 2 years with optional extensions for two more years.<br/><br/>The procurement will be undertaken using the Artificial Intelligence Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) RM6200. Additional information: Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust intends to create a DPS supplier shortlist on 13th October 2026 with the intention of issuing a capability assessment on 14th October 2026, to be returned by 21st October 2026. The intention is for the tender documents to be issued on 10th November 2026 to those bidders who have met the capability assessment requirements.
