Description

Angus Council intends to procure a Community Link Worker Service to support people aged 16 years and over to improve their health and wellbeing by addressing the non-medical social factors that impact their lives. Working alongside GP practices and primary care teams, Community Link Workers will provide person-centred, holistic support, helping individuals access community resources and services that improve wellbeing, reduce health inequalities and promote earlier intervention.

The service also strengthens links between GP practices and community resources, supporting earlier intervention, reducing health inequalities, and improving overall wellbeing through non-medical approaches that complement primary care services. This contract is planned for a 1 February 2027 start date and to be in place for 1 year with an end date of 31 January 2028 with an option to extend for a further year. The estimated contract value of 320,000 GBP represents the maximum whole-life value of the contract, including the optional extension period. This Prior Information Notice is to identify interested parties ahead of publication of the Tender and requires bidders to express an interest. The Contract Notice for future competition of this requirement is planned to be advertised around 20 July 2026. It is anticipated that the tender will remain open for approximately four weeks from the date of publication. The Procurement procedure will be the Open Procedure.
