Contract for the provision of a C3 stage feasibility design and options study for potential gas diversion works required to enable the proposed DLR Thamesmead Extension.
The current alignment of the Thamesmead Extension (TEx) route intersects a highly strategic and asset-dense section of Statutory Undertaker Cadent's London Network, comprising high, intermediate and medium-pressure gas mains, alongside key installations including the Beckton Above Ground Installation and associated pressure reduction infrastructure. These assets present one of the most significant technical and programme-critical risks to the TEx programme.
This request relates solely to the Feasibility Design and Options Study (C3 Works), This phase will provide a comprehensive desktop -based assessment of all potential diversion and AGI rationalisation requirements aligned to the current TEx design. The scope includes options development, engagement of a Cadent-approved design house, initial material take-off assessments, high level cost estimates for later phases, and mobilisation of a dedicated multi-disciplinary project management team to coordinate technical interfaces and third party stakeholders.
The estimated value for this contract is £1,594,000.
