CA18247 - Hopwood Hall College - Provision of Furniture for Chapel

Hopwood Hall College was looking to procure set of AV/IT Integrated Furniture for the Milnrow Chapel, located at the Middleton Campus. Milnrow Chapel will be transformed into a new teaching space. The new classrooms within the building will be used by the College's Engineering and Manufacturing T-Levels curriculum.

A direct award is proposed for the supply and installation of bespoke made furniture due to the limited time available to undertake a further competitive procurement exercise and the need to ensure continuity and delivery within the required timeframe.

The proposed supplier has the necessary experience, capability, and understanding of the bespoke requirements to deliver the furniture within the required timescales. Proceeding with the direct award reduces the risk of delay, and provides assurance that the required specification and quality standards can be achieved.

Although a competitive exercise cannot be completed within the available timeframe, value for money has been considered through assessment of the supplier's quotation, specification, previous market knowledge, and the requirement to avoid costs associated with delay, rework, or failure to meet operational deadlines.

The Contract is awarded utilising CPC - Sustainable Furniture Solutions Framework - Lot 3A.
