Construction of 7 homes at land known as St Michaels Drive and Pease and Payne Place, Chelmsford

The Guinness Partnership Limited (TGPL) are publishing this award notice on behalf of their subsidiary Guinness Development Limited (GDL).

This is a contract award notice following a competitive process via Westworks Development and Construction DPS under PCR15 to appoint a contractor to build 7 affordable homes on land at St Michaels Drive and Pease and Payne Place, Chelmsford Essex.

The land is to be gifted to us by Chelmsford City Council for £2 and both sites have the benefit of planning consent. The build contract is comprised of GDL entering into a JCT Build Contract for the construction of the new homes with Duncan Cameron Hutchinson (which is the subject of this notice), and a simultaneous purchase of the land from Chelmsford City Council by TGPL.

The contracting authority for the purpose of the Procurement Regulations will be GDL. GDL is a subsidiary of TGPL but is a contracting authority in its own right. Ownership of the properties will be transferred from GDL to TGPL upon practical completion. The transaction for the purchase of land will be between Chelmsford City Council and TGPL.

The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 apply to this award.
