Framework for the Provision of Electrical Works and Goods

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting a Preliminary Market Engagement exercise to gauge the level of interest for this opportunity.

This exercise is not a call for competition.

The Council wishes to establish a Framework of several Service Providers for the provision of Electrical Works and Goods. The Council intends to divide the Framework into Lots, including:

• Full Rewires, additional and single item works to Domestic Properties (high volume)
• Full Rewires, additional and single item works to Domestic Properties (low volume)
• Domestic - Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
• Contractor Switches
• Electrical Materials
• Mechanical Electrical Materials

It is anticipated the Framework will run for two (2) years with one (1) possible 24-month extension period.

The purpose of this Preliminary Market Engagement exercise is to:

• Understand current market capacity, capability, and interest.
• Identify barriers, risks, and opportunities.
• Inform the procurement strategy (including scope, risk allocation and form of contract).
• Shape future tender documentation so that it aligns with the market and delivers best value.
