Market Engagement Questionnaire

Future Engine, Propulsion System & Associated Equipment Maintenance Contract

Introduction

SG is seeking feedback from the market to help inform the future procurement strategy and contract design for the maintenance of engines, propulsion systems and associated equipment across its marine fleet.

This questionnaire is for information gathering purposes only and does not form part of a procurement process. Responses will be used to help shape future requirements and procurement documentation.

  • MPV Minna was built at Ferguson's Shipyard, Port Glasgow and was

launched in 2003. She is 42 metres in length and has a gross tonnage

of 781. She has 2 Wartsila 6L20’s, a Cummins N14-G1 harbour generator

and a Cummins 6BT5.9-D(M) emergency generator and is diesel electric

propulsion. Her top speed is 14 knots and is used mainly for inshore

enforcement tasks.

  • MPV Jura was built at Ferguson's Shipyard, Port Glasgow. She was

launched in 2005 and entered service in March 2006. She is 84 metres

in length and has a gross tonnage of 2,181. She has 3 Wartsila 9L20’s,

a Volvo Penta TAMD 165C harbour generator and a Cummins 6CT8

emergency generator and is diesel electric propulsion. Her top speed

is 18 knots and is used mainly for offshore enforcement tasks.

  • MPV Hirta is the newest of our ships and is the same type of ship as the

FPV Jura. Built at the Remontowa Yard in Gdansk, Poland she entered

service in 2008. She is 84 metres in length and has a gross tonnage of

2, 181. She has 3 Wartsila 9L20’s, a Volvo Penta D16 harbour generator

and a Cummins 6CT8 emergency generator and is diesel electric

propulsion. Her top speed is 18 knots and is used mainly for offshore

enforcement tasks.

  • MRV Scotia was built at Ferguson's Shipyard, Port Glasgow and was

launched in 1998. She is 68 metres in length and has a gross tonnage

of 2,619. She has 3 Wartsila 9L20’s, a Cummins NTA 855 G2 harbour generator

and a Cummins 359 (Series B) emergency generator and is diesel electric

propulsion. She has a top speed of 13 knots and is used for offshore

scientific operations.

  • MPV Minna's home port is Glasgow, and MPV Jura, Hirta and MRV Scotia's home

port is Aberdeen.
