Description

HDR UK requires a media monitoring and distribution system to support the institute's communications

objectives, particularly around sharing our impact through the dissemination of new research findings.

Being able to monitor key phrases and topics effectively will also enable HDR UK to not only review our

own press coverage, but also stay up to date on what is making news in areas relevant to our work.

Essential criteria

  • Expertise and previous experience in working with organisations in the health research sector
  • Monitoring across multiple sources of media - including broadcast, digital and print and those

behind paywalls. If monitoring UK and global coverage is at different price points, please provide

quotation for each

  • Access to coverage clippings for account holders
  • Ability to set up coverage alerts that can go automatically to people who do not have an account

within the system

  • Media distribution function and access to up-to-date media contacts of a broad range of journalists

and media outlets

  • Ability to monitor against multiple key words and sub-brands
  • Individual accounts for four employees of HDR UK
  • Ability to produce analytics that detail as a minimum the amount of mentions we have received in

media coverage and the types of coverage

  • Ability to create and distribute bespoke reports on media analysis
  • Ability to view or download broadcast TV and radio broadcast clips
  • Easy to use system
  • Training and support

Desired criteria

  • Storage of coverage alerts and clippings for at least 2 years
  • Monitoring coverage in podcasts
  • Monitoring across research journals
  • Competitor analysis function
  • Ability to enforce MFA on individual accounts
  • SSO (Single Sign-On) Capability to integrate with Entra ID is preferable, but not mandatory

This was procured on a 12 month contract in 2024 however the contract was extended in 2026 until 2029 prompting the contracting authority to publish the contract details due to the increased value.
