Description

We are looking to commission Multi Neighbourhood Training Hubs for Primary Care, these will be local services that act as a single, “go-to” point for education, training and workforce development across general practice and wider primary and community care. They work across primary and community care, education providers and other local partners to understand local workforce needs (including population health needs and health inequalities), plan and coordinate learning and development, and make it easier to host learners and trainees by supporting high-quality placements and learning environments. They help grow the number and capability of supervisors and educators, support continuing professional development and retention, and help primary care teams embed new and developing roles. Multi Neighbourhood Training Hubs will support the development of neighbourhood teams by helping to build the skills, supervision and shared ways of working needed for multidisciplinary teams to deliver more joined-up, proactive care around local communities. Patients benefit because a better trained and better supported workforce improves access, continuity and quality of care, supports safer and more consistent services, and helps services work together more effectively in the community.

The commencement of procurement and award of any subsequent contract will be

subject to budgetary approval.
