Planned Preventative Maintenance

Northern Trains Limited (NTL) has concluded its procurement process for the provision of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) services for tanks, bunds, oil-water separators, pipework, and associated containment systems across its Train Care Centre network for a period of five years.

The scope includes:

Six-monthly servicing of oil-water separators in accordance with BS EN 858.

Annual inspections of tanks in line with OFTEC guidance and SFG20 standards.

Annual inspections of bunds in accordance with CIRIA C736 guidance.

Pipework thickness testing and integrity assessments in accordance with API 570.

The Supplier will be responsible for delivering compliant inspections, testing, reporting, and recommendations to support NTL's statutory, leasehold, and environmental obligations.

Suppliers will be expected to apply Best Industry Practice, alongside their expertise and experience, to meet the following key objectives:

• Deliver high-quality, effective services that demonstrate value for money.
• Maintain assets in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, manufacturer guidance, and industry standards to ensure maximum longevity.
• Support NTL's commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation, including digital monitoring or predictive maintenance solutions where possible.
