Description

NHS Lanarkshire (NHSL) intends to commence procurement of a new contract for the Rental and associated provision of services for dynamic pressure relieving/distribution equipment, with its current estimate being that a contract notice will be published around September/October 2026 and the procurement concluded by March 2027.

The health board’s existing contract works towards ensuring that products are rented for the right surface, right patient at the right time for the prevention and management of pressure ulcers in NHS Lanarkshire which has resulted in a noticeable decrease in utilisation of alternating systems.

Ahead of a new tender process which is due to begin September 2026 NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to identify innovations and new products available in the market that will continue to support the Tissue Viability Service in the prevention and management of pressure ulcers.
