Description
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act do not apply to this award. In accordance with Regulation 10 of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Hull City Council has awarded a contract under the Most Suitable Provider process as the Council is able to identify the most suitable provider without running a competitive exercise, for the provision for support for those with life-limiting conditions. The contract value for these services is £102,585.00. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period.

In addition, individuals will benefit from specialist medical support provided by experienced palliative care professionals, enabling timely access to expert advice, symptom management, advance care planning and signposting without the need for appointments or lengthy waiting times. The service will also promote structured social engagement by offering regular activities tailored to the wishes and needs of patients and carers, supporting mental wellbeing, reducing social isolation and fostering peer relationships within a welcoming and inclusive environment. Furthermore, optional access to specialist bathing facilities will provide a vital service for many users who do not have suitable facilities at home, helping to maintain dignity, comfort and wellbeing. | — |
