Repairs and resurfacing of car park and road

Specification

• Remove existing tarmac, reuse existing concrete kerbs where feasible
• Reduce level dig access road (including changed radius) and car park to depth of 450 mm (average) below existing level as required
• Load, transport and dispose of all arisings to licensed waste facility
• Trim, level and compact formation layer to provide suitable foundation
• Supply, lay and compact in layers, 250mm thick Type 1 granular sub-base to achieve required levels
• Install new edgings and kerbs where required, haunched on concrete
• Provide and install new ACO drains to eastern and northern sides of car park (driveway and storage compound sides), complete with sumps and connections to new soakaway comprising 66 crates beneath car park, wrapped in textile membrane and surrounded with free-draining shingle
• Connect new soakaway with overflow pipe to existing soakaway for futureproofing
• Supply and install additional ACO drainage channels to access road, connected to existing drainage network
• Surface entire area with 100mm compacted thickness of AC32 dense road base, followed by 60mm AC20 dense binder course, followed by 30mm of SMA10 surface course
