Rough Sleeper Winter Accommodation Pods Pilot

Milton Keynes City Council are currently out to tender for the provision of temporary accommodation pods as part of the Rough Sleeper Winter Accommodation Pods Pilot.

The purpose of the pilot is to provide safe, secure and self-contained temporary accommodation for people experiencing rough sleeping during Winter 2026/27. The accommodation will form part of the Council's wider Rough Sleeping Programme and support the objective of ensuring individuals have access to accommodation and a route off the streets during the winter period.

The Council intends to procure approximately 20 accommodation pods, together with dedicated communal facilities for residents, accommodation for staff and support workers, and any associated delivery, installation and commissioning requirements.

The Council's preferred delivery date for the pods is 1 December 2026, and suppliers should make every effort to meet this requirement. Whilst this date is considered critical, the Council reserves the right to accept delivery up to 21 December 2026 at its discretion.
