Description
As part of the Council's wider review and recommissioning of Community and Homecare services, we are seeking to engage with current and prospective providers to better understand the market, explore innovative approaches to service delivery, and inform the future development of commissioned services for children and young people with care and support needs.
This engagement event will provide an opportunity to discuss the unique requirements associated with delivering Homecare services to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with complex health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments and other additional support needs. The Council recognises that supporting children and young people to remain safe, healthy and independent within their family and community networks requires a specialist and highly skilled workforce, alongside strong partnership working with families and professionals.
The event is open to all providers with an interest in delivering services to children and young people. We are particularly keen to engage with organisations that have experience of supporting children with complex needs, specialist care providers, voluntary and community sector organisations, charities, community interest companies (CICs), and providers who are interested in developing or expanding services within this area.
The Council is committed to ensuring that children and young people receive high-quality, person-centred care that is responsive to their individual needs and aspirations. We recognise the vital role that providers play in supporting children and families and are keen to hear directly from the market about what works well, where challenges exist and how future services can be designed to achieve the best possible outcomes.
