Terminal Security Operations Services at Doncaster Sheffield Airport

A requirement has been identified for the delivery of security services within a complex operational environment that may include:

• Management and supervisory oversight
• Aviation security provision of terminal screening check points, surveillance and patrols (foot only)
• Incident response and emergency management
• Protective security and threat mitigation
• Security technology integration - Systems in support of operations
• Training facilitation and management
• Business continuity and resilience support
• Customer service and public-facing security functions
• Quality assurance and reporting

The operation at full capacity would be approximately from 03:30 - 21:00 with a 2-peak passenger flow escalating as the airport develops to a 3-peak operation. This will include the following operational locations:

• Central Screening Area (CSA):
• Access control - Boarding Cards
• Passenger preparation with 3 x C3 lanes (remote screening or within the operation with 2 recheck stations per lane)
• Security Scanners x 4
• Out of Gauge - 2D x-ray Multiview
• Hold Baggage Screening Standard 3 - 2 lines
• Patrols - Landside, airside terminal, airside apron (foot patrols)
