Description
To carry out a thinning of 1 in 3 trees from the 46ha within the work site and clear-fell 7 in 10 stems from 3ha worth of coops. Trees selected to be removed are to be those which are less well developed, poorly formed, narrow trees; leaving larger trees with deeper crowns. The thinning should be done in a variable manner to help create a natural forest impression.

Any track work required prior to commencement of work is to be organised and paid for from the timber sales and managed by the Forest Works Manager in consultation with RSPB staff.
