Description
The City of York Council will be hosting a Preliminary Market Engagement event for the Corporate Security Services - provision of security services and employees, CCTV services and operatives procurement from 10am on Tuesday 28th July 2026 within our building West Offices, Station Rise, York, YO1 6GA.

The purpose of this Preliminary Market Engagement event will be for representatives from the council's Property Services, CCTV Service Management, Commercial Procurement team and North Yorkshire Police representative to share the aims, vision for the new "Corporate Security Services" procurement and contract we will be advertising. This event will also enable attendees to share their knowledge, experience and encourage discussions based on the security and CCTV service presentations we deliver at this event.
There will also be the opportunity to hear about the current and future security requirements for the council and North Yorkshire Police and for attendees to share their thoughts on innovative approaches to providing security and CCTV services and innovations within the security services market and where there could be opportunities for efficiencies, new ways to provide security for the council.
There is also the requirements of enhancing CCTV services, such as advanced analytics and the lawful application of covert directed surveillance, to deliver improved, intelligence-led security outcomes in compliance with statutory requirements which may also support opportunities for income generation, for example through enforcement activity such as fly‑tipping penalties.
