Description
City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the survey, design, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, repair, removal and, where appropriate, refurbishment, reuse, storage or recycling of specialist equipment installed in occupied domestic properties across Wolverhampton.
The requirement supports the delivery of adaptations by the Council's Home Improvement Agency, including Disabled Facilities Grant-funded adaptations and Council housing adaptations. The equipment is intended to support elderly, disabled and otherwise eligible residents to live safely and independently in their homes.
The procurement is divided into the following five Lots:
Lot 1: Stairlifts, including straight, curved and bariatric stairlifts.
Lot 2: Through-floor lifts.
Lot 3: Powered lifting platforms and step lifts.
Lot 4: Ceiling-track hoists.
Lot 5: Modular ramps, including step units, handrails, guardrails, landings and threshold ramps.
Associated services may include property and service-user surveys, equipment selection, design and technical advice, structural and electrical coordination, associated building works, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, certification, user demonstrations, warranty support, planned and reactive maintenance, emergency breakdown attendance, repairs, replacement parts, removal, storage, refurbishment, relocation, reinstatement, recycling and disposal.
Tenderers may submit a Tender for one, some or all Lots. Each Lot will be evaluated independently and the Council intends to award one separate Contract per Lot to the highest-ranked compliant Tenderer for that Lot.
There is no cap on the number of Lots that may be awarded to one Tenderer. A Tenderer bidding for more than one Lot must submit a complete Lot-specific quality and commercial response for each Lot.
The Council does not guarantee any minimum quantity, volume or value of work under any Lot Contract. Individual requirements will be instructed through an initiation document, purchase order or other approved written instruction.
