NHS Essex Integrated Care Board (herein referred to as 'the Authority') has awarded a contract for provision of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Prevention Support to Prescribing Services Ltd for NHS CVD Protect (Eclipse), a medical software package and patient database tool that provides CVD population level analysis, prioritisation, implementation and validation, in accordance with the Authority's Standing Financial Instructions for below threshold spend.
This provision is to support primary care in utilising existing data tools and platforms to deliver an upscaled approach to CVP prevention to aid delivery of QOF and will also focus on Hypertension but promotes a holistic approach to long term conditions by taking the opportunity to support those conditions closely linked to blood pressure. This will initially include those with unmanaged high cholesterol but in the future could be extended to support Diabetes and Chronic Kidney Disease.
The contract commenced 1 June 2026 for a period of 10 months until 31 March 2027, at a total contract value of £108,596 including VAT (£96,676.80 ex VAT).
This Contract Award Notice is being published in accordance with the requirements for sub-central contracting authorities, NHS Trusts and NHS Foundation Trusts where the contract value is at least £30,000 inclusive of VAT in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
