The sweepers were procured via a Direct Award to Karcher UK Ltd through the Scotland Excel Supply and Delivery of Heavy Vehicles Framework (03-21). As a result, a further Direct Award to the manufacturer, Karcher UK Ltd, is required for the servicing and repair of these vehicles due to the specialist nature of the equipment and the need for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) support. Utilising this framework will deliver best value to the Council by improving cost predictability and maximising vehicle availability. It is therefore essential to establish a comprehensive maintenance contract directly with the manufacturer. This approach will ensure access to specialist technical expertise, genuine parts, and agreed service levels, all delivered at a controlled and transparent cost. | — |
